Christos Th. Michalopoulos
He is a graduate of the Department of Physiotherapy of the Athens Technical University. He has been practicing as a physiotherapist since 2003 as a private individual and in hospitals, while since 2009 he has been responsible for musculoskeletal diseases and Therapeutic Exercise at the modern physiotherapy center Bioanadrasi.
His clinical direction and specialization concerns musculoskeletal diseases. In the context of his postgraduate studies, he dealt with manual therapy and especially with the Maitland method. The Maitland concept is the most comprehensive manual therapy method as in addition to mobilization techniques it includes biomechanical analysis, chronic pain management, treatment of neurodynamic problems, etc. He successfully completed the IMTA (international Maitland Teacher Association) course of study and is an accredited IMTA Manual Therapist. His postgraduate education also includes certified specialization in the rehabilitation of myofascial (Stecco Fascial Manipulation, IMTT myofascial trigger point therapy) and neurodynamic dysfunctions (IMTA, NDS)
At the same time, recognizing, through his clinical experience, the importance of therapeutic exercise, he specialized and became a certified instructor in methods such as Clinical Pilates and Gyrokinesis. In recent years, he has been organizing therapeutic exercise classes where he teaches the correct movement of the human body through personalized programs for people with musculoskeletal problems.
