Euripides Triantafyllou
He graduated from the Department of Physiotherapy of the Athens Technical University and has been practicing as a physiotherapist since 2004. After working in various physiotherapy centers and home therapies, shaping his therapeutic approach, he discovered his passion for a special category of treatment, that of restoring diseases of the lymphatic system.
He completed his training on the recognized Vodder method for the comprehensive management of edema by attending educational programs and seminars in Germany, the USA and Greece. He has gained extensive experience in recent years, seeing over 3,000 patients throughout Greece and Germany, close to recognized scientists such as Hans Pritschow, Christian Schuchardt (former president of the German Lymphological Society) and others. Primary lymphedema of the upper and lower extremities and trunk, edema of the genitals, secondary lymphedema after operations for tumor removal, swollen limbs from venous or heart failure, extensive lipedema are some of the edemas he has treated.
He is a teaching member of the ZML Pritschow team (http://www.zml-pritschow.de/ueber-uns/das-team.html) which teaches seminars in Germany and Greece in collaboration with the “epimorfosis” basis of the German model and is now the only certified trainer in Greece on the method.
Since 2010, he has been visiting Germany systematically, following developments in the field of lymphedema rehabilitation, participating in clinical seminars and working with patients in various specialized centers in the Black Forest. For the advancement of the science of Lymphology, he is a member of the following scientific societies:
- Hellenic Lymphological Society, since 2013,
- German Lymphological Society (DGL), since 2014
- Hellenic Society of Mastology, since 2017
- International Lymphology Society, since 2018
In 2016, he was a founding member of the Scientific Group APLESO for Lymphedema, of the Panhellenic Association of Physical Therapists, of which he now serves as Coordinator and was chairman of the Scientific Committee of the 1st conference organized by the group, with great success, in March 2018.
Additionally, he has dealt with compression garments, an essential element in the management of lymphedema, where he is the only one in Greece certified in their measurement and evaluation by the Juzo Academy.
He collaborates systematically with the physiotherapy team of the Lymphedema Department of the University Hospital of Larissa as well as with hospitals and therapists throughout Greece to support patients with lymphedema.
He evaluates and performs treatments in Thessaloniki in collaboration with the center of Mr. George Karamalis.
He is a collaborator of Hygeia-Mother hospitals for patients with lymphedema.
He has successfully completed the Master’s Program in Sports Physiotherapy at the Medical School of the University of Novi Sad.
He is a postgraduate student at Sheffield-Hallam University in the “MSc in Manual Therapy” program where his thesis is pending.
At the same time, for the most comprehensive and holistic treatment of patients, he has completed the Maitland Concept seminar series (2008-2013) while simultaneously following the educational program for the OMT title (the most recognized worldwide distinction from IFOMPT in manual therapy). Since 2014, he has been the only Greek member of the IMTA (International Maitland Teachers Association) educational team.
Since 2013, he has also been an educational member of the IKTA (International Kinematic Taping Academy), which concerns the use of elastic tape with musculoskeletal and lymphatic applications, teaching seminars throughout Greece and the Balkans.
He is a member of the Panhellenic Association of Physiotherapists (PAPH) and the Hellenic Scientific Society of Physiotherapy (HSSPT).
In addition to teaching systematically in recent years in Greece and abroad, he systematically attends scientific, postgraduate seminars to always maintain himself at a top scientific level. Indicatively, he has attended the following methods:
